Final Round Woes

TARZANA, Calif –The BYU women’s golf team slipped on the final day of the Bruin Wave Invitational, finishing 13^th on Tuesday.

Annika Afoa led the way for the Cougars shooting a final round 13-over 85, tying for 46th overall. Afoa shot a birdie on hole No. 18, her third of the tournament.

Right behind Afoa was senior Maggie Yuan, who finished tied for 50^th. Yuan led the Cougars with four birdies on the tournament, but found the final day to be a battle, as she shot an 18-over 90.

Maria Yacaman, Amanda Keith, and Lauren Atkinson also competed for the Cougars. Keith shot the best final round, with biridies on holes No. 6 and No. 18.

BYU will return home for its only home match of the season on March 19 when it hosts the BYU at Entrada Classic in St. George.
